Arrival is not the point of the journey...

I have been intrigued by photography since a young child and loved looking at the family pictures. My father used to give us slideshows of his adventures in foreign countries and his voyages over the seven seas. In the early 1970's, I "inherited" my mother's Kodak Instamatic "126" camera as a Christmas present. In 1982, good ol' Santa Claus gave me a brand new Kodak "Disk" camera. Unfortunately, neither of these cameras produced photographs with the quality of my dad's 35mm SLR. Wow! "Single Lens Reflex!" Even the name was cool! To me at the time, his 35mm was the Holy Grail and I could not wait until he taught me how to use it. The ability to measure light, control aperture and shutter settings, was simply fascinating.

By the time I completed college, cut my hair, and landed a real job, I had "permission" to use dad's 35mm and had the means to afford the film and processing. I now carried his 35mm on my adventures to Spain and across the United States traveling for my company. I captured some good pictures and documented my very own adventures, but lost touch once my traveling paused.

After several years of collecting dust, there were two events that compelled me to take the logbook down from the shelf once again... The DSLR revolution and the meeting of my wife... It was time to continue documenting the journey once more.

Welcome to my little piece of virtual real estate on the web. I hope you enjoy my work and find a pleasant experience seeing the world through an alternate perspective.

Life is good... :-)
